All-on-6 is a full-arch treatment: six titanium implants are placed in one jaw, and a single bridge is fixed onto them to replace every tooth in that arch. The bridge does not come out at night, and you clean it much the way you clean natural teeth.
All-on-4 works the same way with four implants. All-on-X is the umbrella name for the whole family of treatments, and the X stands for the number of implants your jaw actually needs, usually four, five or six. That number comes from a 3D CBCT scan of your jaw rather than from a package name, so the plan is chosen for your bone instead of the other way round.
Six implants spread the bite across more anchor points and can add support toward the back of the arch when there is enough bone to hold them. Where bone has already been lost, four well-angled implants often achieve the same fixed result without grafting. Six implants share the load of every bite instead of four, which can be an advantage in a strong jaw or for patients who grind. The bridge is screwed into place, so nothing slips while you eat or speak, and nothing has to be soaked overnight.
Two extra implants sit further back along the jaw, which lets the bridge carry molars with support underneath them rather than extending off the front implants. Chewing feels more even, and the finished arch is easier to keep balanced.
Because the arch is anchored to bone, it does not rock, click or need adhesive. Implants also stimulate the jawbone the way tooth roots did, which helps limit the bone shrinkage that follows years of wearing a removable denture.
A CBCT scan and a digital smile design map the bone, nerves and sinuses before treatment day, so the number, angle and depth of every implant is decided in advance. You see the plan and the proposed smile before you agree to it.

The deciding factor is bone: six implants need enough height and width toward the back of the jaw to be placed safely, and that is exactly what the 3D scan measures.

Not everyone needs six. If bone has already been lost toward the back of the jaw, four angled implants can carry a full arch without grafting, and adding implants would only add surgery. What is included, and what changes the price.
At Glo Dental Studio the full arch is one price. Our All-Inclusive Smile is $14,990 per arch, and that price covers IV sedation, extractions, bone grafting, extra implants if your case needs them, your same-day arch, design revisions, the final zirconia prosthesis, your mouthguard, post-op check-ins and the warranty.
That matters for All-on-6 in particular. Because extra implants are already included, the plan is chosen from your scan rather than from a price list: if your jaw is better served by six implants than by four, the cost does not change.

From the first scan to the final zirconia arch.

Your visit starts with an examination and a CBCT scan by Dr. Bui. The scan shows how much bone you have and where the nerves and sinuses sit, so we can tell you whether four, five or six implants is the right plan. We design the new smile digitally and review it with you before anything is scheduled.

On treatment day, failing teeth are removed, the implants are placed at the planned angles, and a fixed temporary arch is attached the same day, all under IV sedation. Most patients sleep through the appointment and leave with teeth in place rather than an empty gum or a removable denture.

Over the following months the implants fuse with the bone while you wear the temporary arch and come in for check-ins. When healing is complete, our in-house lab makes your final zirconia bridge, and we fit and adjust it until the bite and the appearance are right.

Answers to the questions patients ask before a full-arch consultation.
The number of implants supporting the arch. All-on-4 uses four implants, two of them angled to make the most of the available bone. All-on-6 uses six, which spreads the bite over more anchor points and adds support toward the back of the jaw. Both give you one fixed bridge that stays in. Which one suits you depends on how much bone you have, and that is decided from your 3D scan.
Your jaw decides. A CBCT scan measures the height and width of bone in each part of the arch, and Dr. Bui plans the number, angle and depth of the implants from it. Patients with good bone volume toward the back of the jaw are often candidates for six; where bone has been lost, four angled implants can carry the same fixed arch without grafting. More implants are not automatically better.

Treatment is carried out under IV sedation, so most patients remember very little of it. Afterwards you can expect swelling and soreness for a few days, managed with the medication we prescribe and the post-op instructions we go through with you. You leave the appointment with a fixed temporary arch rather than an empty gum.
The implants fuse with the bone and are intended to be permanent. The bridge on top is a restoration and does wear: with good hygiene, regular check-ups and a night guard if you grind, patients keep it for many years, and it can be repaired or remade without replacing the implants. Your plan includes post-op check-ins and a warranty.
